Becky Heidesch has been an entrepreneur for almost two decades. Currently the Founder of WSS Executive Search, a women and diversity owned executive search firm. Heidesch’s unique career path has encompassed a variety of roles spanning through entrepreneurship, human resources, sports marketing and eventually landing in executive search.
During the past decade, Heidesch has built WSS Executive Search into a nationally recognized firm that places SR level diverse talent across multiple industries including financial services, consumer products goods, technology, manufacturing and more.
She has represented executive search efforts and board appointments with many of the nation’s top Fortune 500 companies including Wall Street’s Morgan Stanley, Citigroup, and Merrill Lynch along with numerous technology related companies and startups.

The Back Story…An Entrepreneur’s Journey.
In 1995, with an entrepreneur itch and a void in the marketplace, Heidesch launched a niche publication, a national clearinghouse for women’s sports news and information. With a nationwide subscriber base, the publication was the signature product for the launch of Women’s Sports Services, a full services women’s marketing agency.
Over time, Women’s Sports Services would become one of the longest-standing women’s sports businesses in the U.S. offering a variety of services including marketing consulting, career management & job placement. In the mid 90’s Heidesch launched two online career centers. With the growing interest in WSS’s career services, and the increasing need by companies to attract diverse talent pools, WSS saw the necessity and opportunity to do more.
In 2003, Heidesch spun off WSS Executive Search, the placement arm of WSS, to expand and meet the unique hiring needs of their clients. WSS Executive Search continues today with placements extending beyond financial services to include, technology, consumer goods, hospitality, and other private industry and non-profit roles.
Heidesch is driven by a passion, diligent work ethic and true desire to build outstanding teams. She has been handpicked as a women’s marketing consultant for a variety of large corporations, received national recognition as a public speaker in career management and entrepreneurship, and was the head coach of a #1 nationally ranked NCAA team. She holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship from Concordia University and an MA & BS from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.
